Natural Antibacterial and Preservation

Preservatives have been a pivotal part of the food industry, allowing people to enjoy wide range of foods across regions and seasons. However, the search for the perfect preservative continues. The shift towards natural alternatives is reshaping the industry.
Natural antimicrobial preservation involves using substances derived from nature, such as plant extracts and animal proteins, known for their ability to inhibit microbial growth and retard spoilage. This approach is gradually replacing traditional synthetic preservatives. While it is generally safe to use food additives and preservatives within regulatory standards, consumers are showing a strong preference for natural preservatives. According to a HealthFocus survey, 39% of participants from 22 countries expressed a desire to avoid chemicals in food, and 34% preferred avoiding artificial ingredients.
The introduction of innovative natural alternatives and solutions in the food preservation sector is meeting a growing market demand. Consumers are increasingly leaning towards options that align with a more natural, chemical-free approach to food safety and quality.
